How booking a Trolltunga trip works

1 · Decide: on your own, guided, via ferrata or overnight

A guided day hike follows the normal trail, the via ferrata climbs the cliff by another route, and an overnight trip splits the hike over two days. Check which one a product actually is before comparing prices.

2 · Check the season

Experienced hikers can go on their own from 1 June to 30 September. From October to May the destination company recommends going only with a guide, and the shuttle buses run only in summer.

3 · Plan the transport and a spare day

Most tours meet at P2 Skjeggedal, about 30 minutes from Odda. Check whether the shuttle to P3 is included, and allow a spare day in case the weather closes in.
